Bismillah ir-rahman ir-raheem
(In the name of God the most compassionate most merciful),

The Quran states:
And tell the believing women to lower their gaze and guard their chastity, and not to reveal their adornments except what normally appears. Let them draw their veils over their chests, and not reveal their ˹hidden˺ adornments except to their husbands, their fathers, their fathers-in-law, their sons, their stepsons, their brothers, their brothers’ sons or sisters’ sons, their fellow women, those ˹bondwomen˺ in their possession, male attendants with no desire, or children who are still unaware of women’s nakedness. Let them not stomp their feet, drawing attention to their hidden adornments. Turn to Allah in repentance all together, O believers, so that you may be successful. [24:31]

Something interesting for you to note. Men where spoken to first on a ruling before the women. The ayat that was revealed before the above ayat states:
˹O Prophet!˺ Tell the believing men to lower their gaze and guard their chastity. That is purer for them. Surely Allah is All-Aware of what they do. [24:30]

This video shares Hijab in a meaning that fits more than my own words could convey.

A common statement made against the Hijab ayat is that many people can be under the impression that it is not referencing woman to cover their heads. While I have not gone in to great detail to explain this I have shared 2 videos below that refutes this argument.

There are so many good videos that touch on this topic and while I would like to share with you all of them - I have narrowed it down to a couple of points.

1. I don't won't to overload you with information when I have supplied enough and

2. This is a journey all muslim women will take and I don't want to take that full journey away from you.

Woman are not forced into wearing a head cover. The choice is up to the woman alone.

However, the ayat of Quran is clear with understanding. You have a freedom of choice to obey. Whether you choose to are not does not remove you from being a muslim.

I am aware there are some countries where the law is to cover and I do not feel as though I am qualified to speak further on this at this time. So I encourage you to continue this journey if you feel further inclined too.
