Bismillah ir-rahman ir-raheem
(In the name of God the most compassionate most merciful),
Islam recognizes Christians and Jews as people of the book.
I will share a few ayats(verses) directly from the Quran in regards to this.
The Jews say, “The Christians have nothing to stand on” and the Christians say, “The Jews have nothing to stand on,” although both recite the Scriptures. And those ˹pagans˺ who have no knowledge say the same ˹about people of faith˺. Surely Allah will judge between them on the Day of Judgment regarding their dispute. [2:113]
Indeed, the believers, Jews, Sabians and Christians—whoever ˹truly˺ believes in Allah and the Last Day and does good, there will be no fear for them, nor will they grieve. [5:69]
Indeed, the believers, Jews, Christians, and Sabians—whoever ˹truly˺ believes in Allah and the Last Day and does good will have their reward with their Lord. And there will be no fear for them, nor will they grieve. [2:62]
Today all good things are made lawful for you. And the food of those given the Scripture is lawful for you, and your food is lawful for them. So are chaste believing women, and chaste women from the people who were given the Scripture before you, provided you give them their dowries, and take them in marriage, not in adultery, nor as mistresses. But whoever rejects faith, his work will be in vain, and in the Hereafter he will be among the losers. [5:5]
As you can clearly see we do not condemn Christians or Jews, we recognize them as people of the book, we also recognize the previous scriptures.
Truth is clear from error as we have accepted the final revelations.
